Whether a card is better strongly depends on used applications. CUDA oder Tensor core softwares benefit very much from Nvidia cards. (It may be that you do not use such so AMD cards are an option, if also drivers are stable for your use case.)

I just bought a RX7800XT and I have no regrets and this $100 more for no better card. Nah. Nvidia can keep this release.
