BYD makes dangerous, fire prone junk. It is a great disservice to your readers to compare BYD to any legitimate car manufacturer. BYD can't meet western safety standards and doesn't honor their warranty. This is the reason BYD vehicles are illegal in North America. If you care about your readers, or safety in general, warn them about the dangers posed by BYD vehicles and BYD batteries. This is the reason wealthy Chinese car buyers would rather pay more to buy a Tesla than buy a cheaper BYD.

Europe is sending factory forensic specialists to Chinese EV brands like BYD as part of its investigation to determine if the lower prices their vehicles command on the continent are due to illegal state subsidies. In the meantime, BYD just unveiled its direct Tesla Model S competitor, after encroaching on the Model 3 and Model Y turf already.
