Makes sense. Most PC gamers have woefully underpowered GPUs. Yes PC is CAPABLE of much higher graphics eventually, the cost/benefit and tech hassle is just not worth it for your average Joe Gamer.
Makes sense why Rockstar keeps doing this. Their profit is in consoles. Always has been.
They always do this and for good reason they put out proper PC version that push the graphics much further than console version red dead redemption 2 is great example of this and I am perfectly fine with waiting.
Didn't they do this with 5? As I remember, it originally came out on the 360/PS4, and then the PC release was tied in with the XB1/PS5 release the following year.
Never cared about this game or franchise and as a PC gamer with a huge backlog, no game will ever make me buy a Sony console. I boycotted Sony and I will boycott any game developer with greed and toxic business practices.
Rockstar is one of them. I was interested in RDR2 but they delayed it for PC hoping customers will buy the console version first and then the PC. Unfortunately, many gamers did this which encourages the company to keep doing this BS again. And when it was released on PC it was a mess and took them time to get it to work. I bought the game when it became $18. I reject to pay more than $20 for an old game that was released more than a year ago.
As a huge fan of Final Fantasy, I did the same too. Boycotted the game (Both FFVII remake + FF XVI) and will not buy the PC version until it is on steep discount.
As for GTA, not a fan so even on a steep discount I'm not getting it and I urge all PC gamers to not fall into this trap and feed these toxic companies. Kill the exclusives. Don't give your money to Sony or Rockstar. The more you feed them the more toxic they will be for you.
PC Gamers would likely double dip buying a console ( and let's face it if it is indeed bundled with some kind of special edition PS5 console with GTA or Rockstar branding ) it would be more likely to be the Sony console making both companies a lot of money so honestly could be a very smart decision
Did the same for GTA 5 AND Red Dead. Console first with base game, then release online then Pc. Just a way they generate money. Sucks but people will buy the game twice to play it when it comes out and then again on pc.
Poor business choice? I doubt it... pc gamers without a console are gonna buy a console for this and then go ahead and double dip later... and you know it.
A somewhat extraordinary GTA 6 claim has been made by a game developer on social media. It seems the keenly awaited Rockstar Games' title could be part of a special PS5 marketing deal with a potential PlayStation 5 Pro bundle in the pipeline. On top of that, Grand Theft Auto fans wanting to enjoy the experience on PC may have to wait.
