The 6900XT is a great card in its own right, but when was that benchmark performed? The game has been getting updates and I'm sure more optimizations will ensue.

7900 XT can barely beat 6900 XT (with 4 GB less VRAM) and in many scenarios (like this here in Counter Strike 2) it is even handily losing to it, so... We'll see.

This is the second time I've seen reports that rdna 4 midrange will beat the 7900xt but not the the 4080 super. Why is that supposed to shock us? The 7900xt doesn't beat the 4080 now, it's different performance tiers. If they mean the xtx then that's a thing but the xt is 70ti competitor. I know it's all speculation anyway but it just keeps bugging me.

So It's a year away, and at that point it would just probably make more sense to buy a 7900XTX for 600 or 7900XT for like 500. It's just better to lag behind 1 generation instead of buying the new stuff, because they are never leaps and bounds ahead in terms of price to performance...not anymore!

AMD is reportedly releasing the RDNA 4 GPUs in Q3 of next year. Reports have claimed that the company has scrapped the high-end RDNA 4 cards to ramp up the development of the RDNA 5. Moore's Law Is Dead has recently alleged some more information regarding the RX 8000 GPUs including performance and pricing details.
