It still excels in the areas that are important to me. Photos and zoom. Videos are expectedly worse than the iPhones. Maybe one day the pixel will maybe iPhones in that department.

Remember that DXO tested the 8 Pro with SDD but tested the 15 with HDR... Maybe if 8 Pro was tested with Ultra HDR it would do better

Any kids or young adults interested in photography might think about ignoring the advertising trend directing you to a cell phone's photo capabilities.

Instead, you can research these photography thingies they call a "Camera".

Quality differences between a smartphone or iPhone and an actual camera are quite surprising.

Well, if you prefer a phone without chinese spyware, if you need google apps and no iOS it IS the best camera phone.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro may have one of the best camera systems around, but it cannot match the might of some of its competitors. In a reversal of last year, Google's latest flagship falls short of its Apple and Huawei equivalents, with there being a small gap between it and its predecessor this year, too.
