Ok, I'll admit to having bought 2 'netbooks' LONG before it was a brand - a 7" and a 10". Back then they had Intel 'Atom' CPU's and 1-2MB of RAM and ran WIN-XP.
The 7" got tossed in the trash and I've since put Linux on the 10". :)
While the device being shown is indeed a interesting product however IMHO the real fail (besides using the Intel CPU) is the lack of a 5G radio.
If the entire device is smaller and lighter than a 11" iPad-Pro (with keyboard) AND it had a 5G radio in it then they might have something.
As someone else mentioned, without a webcam no video meetings.
Been a while since we've seen anything from One Netbook, i love their formfactors and designs, but gosh 12th gen intel.... They really should have moved on to AMD like their gaming portables and their competition in the enthusiast portable space. Minisforum is expected to have something much power powerful running ryzen coming up as well to compete in the same space to replace the Surface line. Wouldnt be surprised if Ayn, AyaNeo, AOKZOE, GPD etc.... hopped into the space as well.
One-Netbook is now selling the One-Netbook 5 globally with a 10.1-inch display, 32 GB of RAM and a 42 Wh battery. The One-Netbook 5 starts at US$1,169 with a 1 TB SSD and is also only available with an Intel Core i7-1250U processor.
