If this is a rumor and has been disputed by other leakers, why is it a story? Why is it on my news page?
If this is Google trying to test the waters for a price increase, get real. Somehow my nexus 5 still works, and my galaxy nexus, but none of my other Google phones do.
Don't make us pay more when you still can't get quality control right.

Also consider that not all features will be available outside of US. I was using Nexus, Pixel 1,3,6 phones and while I was mostly fine with hardware, it's software which pushed me to try Galaxy. And oh my.. I regret time sitting with Pixels. Android on Galaxy is for power users, so much more stable and matured. Also entire Galaxy ecosystem works better, one of examples - if I start call from my watches with my earbuds in, Pixel starts call on my phone! ignoring the earbuds in my ears, while Galaxy starts call with earbuds as expected. And so much more of
these small life improvements that even for 20% discount I'm not going back. Best pixel phone is probably from A-series, if they will continue to price it well.

Wow Google, makers of the biggest hardware trash raising prices 20% for their 4th rate quality control. That's a big hell no. Should be lowering prices 20%.

According to a new report from a typically reliable leaker, Google plans to drastically increase prices for this year's Pixel flagships in Europe. Reputedly, the Pixel 8 will start at €799 with 128 GB of storage. By contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro is said to exceed €1,099 and could cost upwards of €1,299 for its 512 GB variant.
