Completely disagree all tech companies are doing this.

HP Elitebooks and Lenovo Thinkpad products offer some of the best repairability and post-purchase upgradeability - two huge companies and then there is Framework, System 76, the list goes on.

I'm honestly shocked how well Apple has branded themselves and their products that people are now conditioned to pay exceptionally high prices for something that will only last a very short time due to intentional planned obsolescence via software update cycles or failing non-replaceable components.

I wonder why is Lenovo giving HMM (Hardware Maintenance Manual) for all of their laptops then, with giving users freedom to replace a hell lot of things on their own, like battery.
