nope Ayn/Aya has been deliving high value chiped hardware for a while the diff is we as consumers are getting scammed, this chip isnt worth $120, in large batches old gen hardware like this is sold for peanuts, theres huge inventory out there for them and you can buy them for next to nothing. Who told you that ? Santa Claus? This is Absolutely untrue. Its not an old SOC, That chip is expensive because the manufacturing process is expensive, TSMC production capacity is limited, and every semiconductor manufacturer is paying billions upfront to secure a slice.

You should come up with a better theory like "They'll sell some units at a loss for marketing purposes"

It seems people have forgot that most "flagships" back in the day with 800 series were at most 400$.

Then, they started ramping up prices and people followed up bc it went up year by year, little by little.

This is evidence of how BS pricing is for tablets Rn, cause we could have hardware like this at such an affordable price point, but companies like Samsung and what not are making these machines w/ useless level hardware and charging like 5x for them. Just imagine the profit margins on the Galaxy tablets and Samsung's implementation of Android on tablet is cheeks.

Strange how phone/tablet manufacturers charge two to three times for similar specs.

If this device can be released with a flagship-level Qualcomm CPU, the 8 Gen 2, and 8GB RAM; there's no excuse for the lack of Chromebooks and Windows devices featuring Qualcomm CPUs that can never get to the target price-range.

A Surface Go with a 8 Gen 2 would be a must-have with this processor.
