I don't think this will really be an issue... Most vehicles are in secure enough locations that plugging all of this stuff in would take a while and you first have to get in the car...

It clearly says you need to inject into the boot process and I HOPE Tesla doesn't turn on WiFi so I'm curious as to not the tech parts but the physical access parts...

Remember a simple thing, drill it into yourself - the owner of the thing can do whatever he wants with it. Including research and modify the software as he pleases. The warranty covers the performance of iron in the first place. You can always roll back the software and restore the original one. Any attempts to point out a software modification, if they did not provably lead to hardware problems, are a priori illegal on the part of the manufacturer and require, on his part, strong evidence in court.

And blocking practices are immoral, but thanks to inquisitive minds they are bypassed.

If I pay for a car, which includes the hardware installed on it, and I cannot use the hardware that was installed on it due to a software limitation imposed by the vendor, then it's stealing something I paid money for.

Also whether other car brands do the same is irrelevant. They should also be condemned like BMW has, but in this case we're talking about Tesla.

So stop trying to defend some billionaire bullshit tactics, they wouldn't even blink for you.

I'm assuming that the hack is reversible, so you could probably revert to default before taking it to Tesla, then jailbreak again.
