It appears to be a post-review downgrade by firmware!:

Quote from: RTINGS' Adam Babcock[..] We tested it when we initially tested the TV, and the TV was reporting a max bandwidth of 48Gbps. We rechecked it yesterday, both with the original tool we used and with the same Murideo tool that Vincent used, and the TV now reports a max bandwidth of 40Gbps. There have been a handful of firmware updates since we tested the TV, so the most likely explanation is that Samsung changed this in a firmware update. The Inputs Specifications section of the review has been updated with this information, including screenshots showing the original 48Gbps result and the new 40Gbps limit.
Waiting for RTINGS' update on the predecessor S95B, that I use for PC gaming and want overclock to 144 Hz, 10 bit and full 4:4:4 chroma. And no, SCAMSUNG, I'm not going back to overpriced IPS garbage PC monitors. Lets hope LG OLED TV gets 144 Hz and 48 Gbit/s, so 10 that bit and 144 Hz are possible.
