Let's just bet on it now. It's Nvidia Orin with 4-6x Cortex-A78 (clocked low), 768-1024 Ampere cores, 8 GB of RAM.

Also being a handheld on-the-go device it must be lightweight to carry around and have a battery that lasts longer than your toilet visit.

So while for other consoles the only measure of successful device is the high performance it's a bit different for Nintendo who chose to aim for a balance between power and portability.

👑 Absolute wisdom. You have to compare the switch to a gameboy not a plug in the wall, TV attached console. If you want the peak of that buy a PS5. However, if you want to use it on the go you will need a Switch anyway. It's a niche that nintendo are doing well. I'd rather see them tackle constraints creatively with stylization than raw power punch through problems with heavier resource requirements.

I noticed you said PS4 and not PS4 pro. At first I didn't really think graphics were an issue for Nintendo and it was nice that they just cared about fun games. It's getting a little tiresome now. Especially now that it's effecting what creators can make or port to the Switch and the performance of the games they have. Nintendo, you have the money. Just make a powerful system on par with everyone else.

Well, in raw performance, yes. However, well-optimized games can deliver 2 to 3 times the performance compared to a PC equivalent. So it might be able to get performance equivalent to the 1050 Ti or GTX 1650 if it has 1.6 TFlops in portable mode. If it can get 2.5 times the TFlops in docked mode if the former numbers were even for handheld mode (just like what the Switch did) it can get equivalent performance between that of a 1660 or RTX 2060. I'll keep my expectations at GTX 1630/1650 Super equivalent performance for now but I hope the former is what's actually the case.
