The Air 2 does have a 1/2 inch sensor. The Air 2S has a 1 inch sensor.

It appears that DJI is moving closer to announcing the Air 3, a successor to the Air 2 and Air 2S. While DJI has not officially commented on the drone's release yet, more photos of the upcoming drone have emerged online, as has launch pricing for two Fly More Combo packages.
