Maybe not lies but deception at its worst. I suppose there is one software with one setting for every diagram bar but all other use cases are worse to extremly worse. Everybody wants to see raw performance while Nvidia shows DLSS and whatnot as special case application and pretends such speeds to be the norm for all applications.

Nvidia does this because it also wants to sell to earlier 3D gamers, for which speed improvements of raw performance are too small or constant (or rarely negative) to upgrade. Meanwhile, Nvidia forgets its other (potential) customers, who would be impressed by speeds of other softwares, efficiency or even speed * efficiency per expense despite much higher prices.

My impression on Nvidia as a chip designer: ++.

My impression on Nvidia as an advertiser: --.

(Ugh, same for Intel, AMD, Apple and many OEMs... Why do they all make their products much worse in their PR than they are? We endconsumers are not uninformed idiots.)

These figures are blatant lies straight up, shame on you for publishing them without checking them. On average the 3060 is 2x faster than the 1060 at 1080p and 1.9x at 1440p, so the 4060 will be at best 2.4x faster ignoring fake fps and DLSS. The 2060 is only on average about 50% faster than the 1060. Where the 8x BS comes from is anyone's guess.

What do those lines through the arrows mean? They are probably lying about the 8x number too, aren't they. I don't think the RTX 2060 was quadruple the performance of the GTX 1060. Unless they used raytracing to cripple the 1060: venturebeat.com/games/ray-tracing-on-gtx-1060/

QuoteBy contrast, the new graphics card surpasses the GeForce RTX 2060 by 2.3x and its predecessor by just 0.7x.

I think you mean "successor", not "predecessor". And you've mixed percentages with multipliers by changing 1.7x to 0.7x.

NVIDIA is just days away from officially releasing the GeForce RTX 4060, its cheapest RTX 40 series card to date. The company has now published official benchmark results for its AD106-based graphics card, positioning it more as a GeForce GTX 1060 or GeForce RTX 2060 replacement than one to which RTX 3060 owners should upgrade.
