Just got rid of my Samsung S20 Ultra and will never buy another Samsung again, what a waste of $1400. I made the switch to an iPhone and at least I will get my money out of it and something like 7 years of updates.

I don't believe Samsung...
I just got ready of my S20 Ultra and I picked up iPhone 14 max.
The last update I have received for my S20 Ultra was on 02/01/2022.
I spoke to Samsung, basically their answer was just it's what it's.
So no carrier helped me nor Samsung.

If you deliver on your promise and then exceed it, you foster customer trust and loyalty. I jumped ship from Samsung last year, but this renews my hope to reconsider them next go-round. Just take off the bloatware on any phone >$500.

Ironically my girlfriend's S20FE gets [security] updated faster than my Pixel 7 Pro fairly often.

Although Samsung's official update policy suggests that the Galaxy S20 series is only eligible to receive quarterly security patches, the former flagship smartphones are still being updated on a monthly basis, which is a pleasant surprise for Android users who have held onto their device for over three years now.
