I'm far from being an Apple fan but tbh 8 GB RAM + M1/M2 + macOS is pretty similar to 16 GB RAM + x86 + Windows. And regarding its price, keep in mind that you get pretty damn good build quality, great battery life and excellent screen (no trash 45% NTSC 250 nits that we get in similar price range with so many Windows laptops).
That being said, soldered non-replacable SSD + trash keyboard + Apple being a cringe and scummy company (youtube.com/watch?v=RIFQC8iA65k)... For me, personally, yeah but no thanks, even if it was half the price.
8gb ram??? ...for that price??? Wow! And can't forget about that new SUPER EXPENSIVE Mac Pro with nonupgradeable ram. Who said marketing is dead! They have their Apple fanbase trained well.
Nice work. There is no competitor near to this great notebook (performance, battery life and slimness). A pity that there is max. 24GB of RAM and I'm wondering the continuous performance regards fan-less design and CPU throttling. Perhaps it could be intelligent to wait for the 3nm architecture evt. updated to this product next year.
After months of speculation, the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air finally gets an official unveiling at WWDC23. The MacBook Air 15-inch is powered by the M2 SoC and brings niceties such as a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio system, and a 500-nit IPS display to the table.
