I somehow had negative experiences with Asus mainboards (multiple times, across all price ranges), DVD writers, notebooks, but I was lucky with Asus monitors so far. Sadly, only regular ones, no ROG series yet.
The overall impression on Asus is right but it also offers some reliable products of quality. I just would not buy its mainboards and be cautious about its notebooks.
Good points Truth! Their customer support and service is still easily the worst you can get (actually you can't because it's THAT bad 😆) among all big(ger) OEMs.
Maybe it's just my memory of ASUS but only a few years ago ASUS was always considered, by MANY, just a generic budget brand gaming hardware/peripheral computer outlet that always had thermal, software, Customer Support D.O.A., etc. issues in many of its segments compared to some of its biggest rivals then. e g. Alienware, VooDoo, Clevlo, etc.. So, I'm not understanding why ASUS is wearing this "premium" extra tax hike tag on their products today because just off of Reddit, Discord, heck even on ASUS on outlets, ASUS still have very serious unstable quality issues.
