The same price that the 4080 config unit should be today and they might just shift better numbers for this dying segment.
This current-gen of gamers are definitely not like the enthusiasts-gen 20+ years ago that would purchase a $6K+ DTR (Sager, etc.) that just the mobile so-called flagship GPUs then were $1K a pop.
For whatever reason, these OEMs (probably at the aged now of retirement) still think those ancient days and prices are still relevant today. Boy are they super wrong!
At a time when gaming laptops with these specs are running for twice that price, MSI just issued a GE66 deal that sees the RTX 3080 Ti-laden machine with 240Hz QHD display and 32GB RAM at less than $1400. MSI also throws in a GH20 gaming headset and mouse pad freebies.
