A quick search didn't really provide any meaningful info on how BenQ's HDR-PRO compares to other HDR variants, and HDR in general is still a big mess, so I have no idea if it's comparable to or better or worse than HDR10/HDR10+/DV, but I find it interesting that the brighter projector uses that while the dimmer one uses HDR10+. I would assume, based on that, that HDR-PRO is at least better than HDR10+, but since there's little standardization or regulation, who knows. Guess we'll have to wait for reviews. Then again, based on this article, it sounds like both will cost the same, which seems strange considering the TK860i is much brighter, but then the other has better color. Does anyone know the actual difference in HDR between the two?
The BenQ TK860i and W2710i 4K projectors will shortly launch in the EU. The TK860i has up to 3,300 lumens brightness and 98% Rec. 709 color space coverage, while the W2710i has a maximum brightness of 2,220 lumens and supports HDR10+. Both models have a built-in 2.1-channel speaker system and Android TV.
