Apple allegedly aspires to release devices with an upgrade to custom microLED displays as early as 2024. However, according to the latest industry reports, real life has gotten in the way of these plans, causing the Cupertino giant to enlist the help of Samsung and LG to take the next step onward from OLED in the near future. The putative upgrade is still projected to start with a next-gen Watch Ultra, however.
