Then such problems as failure to work for 10 minutes under a typical game load will automatically make the product of poor quality according to the established quality criteria by the buyer and the seller (manufacturer) will have no choice but to accept the buyer's conditions to restore the violated right to quality (according to its formal definitions by the buyer) thing.

Here you need to look at that part of German consumer legislation (and the civil code separately, if they complement each other), which describes the concept of a defect in a product (all possible legal definitions of these states of a product), as well as determining the quality of a product (or otherwise - the purpose of the purchase ) by the consumer.

If the consumer did not determine the purpose of the purchase (quality criteria) of the goods in a legally significant (binding counterparty) form when purchasing, the consumer can further (after the purchase) refer only to how the market sees, in general, the typical purposes of using such goods and the nature of use buyer. And this already imposes on the consumer the burden of proving his innocence in a legal dispute with a counterparty - a seller or a manufacturer.

Let me remind you once again that the quality of the goods at the time of purchase is always determined by only one person in the transaction - the buyer. The one who pays the money. Conscientiously made reviews of goods (the most formalized, according to key quality criteria and comprehensive - which is what review authors should always strive for) are precisely designed to help save too naive and poorly educated consumers from false delusions that are skillfully imposed on them by cunning marketers of manufacturers (and sellers) and understand what minimum formalized requirements should be put forward for the product at the time of purchase, thereby preparing a reliable basis in a dispute with the seller or manufacturer, if the quality of the product does not meet these quality criteria (purchase goals).

Ja, interessant. Im Grunde ist das wirklich mangelhaft, wenn ein (explizites) "Gaming" Notebook nicht imstande ist zu gamen. Sowas dürfte tatsächlich nicht passieren.

Und wenn die Wärmeleitpaste des Herstellers dazu nicht mehr imstande ist (mehr als 1 Jahr durchzuhalten), müssten die eigentlich das Produkt vom Markt nehmen...

Da jemand in einer anderen Thread auf die BGB-Änderung zum 1.1.2022 hingewiesen hat, ist hier der neue Text mit 1 Jahr Frist zitiert aus dejure.org:

"§ 477
Beweislastumkehr

(1) 1Zeigt sich innerhalb eines Jahres seit Gefahrübergang ein von den Anforderungen nach § 434 oder § 475b abweichender Zustand der Ware, so wird vermutet, dass die Ware bereits bei Gefahrübergang mangelhaft war, es sei denn, diese Vermutung ist mit der Art der Ware oder des mangelhaften Zustands unvereinbar. [...]"

Zusammen mit BGB-Wandlung kannst du also jedenfalls in Deutschland den Kauf noch rückabwickeln, falls du nicht lieber Hotz' Rat anwenden möchtest. Glaube ich jedenfalls; es könnte auch sein, dass deine schon erfolgte Inanspruchnahme eines ersten von zwei Reparaturversuchen dann Wandlung (erst einmal bis zum 2. Versuch) ausschließt, also besser dazu noch im BGB stöbern! Wenn der 2. auch fehlschlägt, müsste Wandlung möglich sein.

Da es sich wirklich nach einem hitzebedingten Problem liest, müsstest du wohl das Gerät öffnen, Lüfterschlitze reinigen, und neue Wärmeleitpaste auftragen. Eigentlich hätte das der Support machen müssen.

Im Übrigen erinnert es mich an mein uraltes Notebook: das hat sich auch nach 10 Minuten Gaming immer wieder ausgeschalten, und erst nach 5 Minuten wieder einschaltbar. Brauchte wohl ein paar Minuten um abzukühlen.

Da hat auch nur neue Wärmeleitpaste bzw. Lüfterreinigung geholfen. Auch bei mir ist das binnen wenigen Monaten passiert. Die ersten 3-6 Monate nach Kauf war es noch in Ordnung, danach begann das Problem mit dem Abschalten. Die Hitze im Notebook muss dermaßen stark gewesen sein, dass die Wärmeleitpaste nach 3 Monaten bzw. nach dem Durchspielen von 1 einzigen Game schon eingetrocknet ist. Ich musste also alle 3 Monate aufschrauben und Paste neu auftragen. Und bei dir scheint genau dasselbe Problem zu bestehen.

Also an sich dürfte das Notebook nicht kaputt sein, aber die Hitzeentwicklung ist einfach dermaßen groß, dass es diese Probleme verursacht.

ich habe mir diesen Laptop im November 2022 gekauft und ich muss sagen, ich war noch nie so enttäuscht von Asus.
mit ihm kann ich keine 10 Minuten F1 22 zocken ohne, das er sich von alleine abschaltet und dann 5 Minuten lang nicht einschalten lässt.
Ich hatte ihn schon eingeschickt zu Asus und bekam ihn zurück mit "wir konnten keinen fehler feststellen".
Ausgepackt, aufgebaut, eingerichtet, F1 22 installiert und siehe da, 10 Minuten zocken, Runde 7 und zack er geht aus...................
Ich frage mich, was und wie die dort geprüft haben.
Das gleiche Spiel auf meinem alten Rechner lief und läuft immer noch den ganzen Tag hoch und runter.
Der denkt nicht mal ans hitze bedingte aufgeben.

Mein Fazit: Mein Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 SE ist nur ein overpowerder Mittelklasse Rechner, der bei der kleinsten Anstrengung in die knie geht.
Ich kann vom Kauf nur abraten.

Na also, es geht doch! Eine ohne Headset erträgliche Kühlung bei fast voller Leistungsentfaltung. Dass ich altes Schlachtross das noch erleben darf, dass ein Hersteller eine wirklich gute Kühlung einbaut.

Damit fällt auch für alle anderen Hersteller die Alibierklärung weg, dass Luftkühlung so begrenzt sei und man Notebooks viel dicker und schwerer machen müsse, um dieses Ziel zu erreichen. Gerade Tom von XMG benutzt gerne dieses Narrativ und kommt dann mit einer umständlichen, immobilen Wasserkühlung, die das Notebook zum Desktop degradiert, um die Ecke. Die mag noch mal besser kühlen, aber das Strix Scar 17 bekommt das ohne immobiles Zubehör hin! Das ist so, wie wenn ein Elektroautobauer einen zu schwachen Akku verbaut und dann einen Zusatzakku auf nem Anhänger verkauft. Klar, die Reichweiten sind nun die besten. Dafür bekommt man mit dem Anhänger keinen Parkplatz mehr.

Das Neo17 sieht im direkten Vergleich nicht gut aus: 46 vs 54 db im Stresstest bedeutet fast den doppelten Lärmpegel. Die Konkurrenten sind ähnlich schlecht. Das Strix bleibt sogar bei je 80 GradC, d.h. es ist nicht auf äußerste Kante genäht, wie viele Konkurrenzgeräte. Da könnten sich XMG und Co noch eine Scheibe abschneiden.

Das Design find ich aber auch schrecklich. Asus baut entweder schöne Notebooks mit Schrottkühlung (Zenbooks) oder peinliche Designunfälle mit guter Kühlung wie das hier. Die gleiche Kühlung in einem etwas dickeren Zenbook wäre ein Pflichtkauf.

Die Kühllösung ist hammer. 3080Ti mit voller tgp und nur 46db. Das schafft kein Konkurrent. Endlich Gaming ohne viel Lärm und Headset Zwang. i9 wie immer seinen Aufpreis nicht wert. Leider unbezahlbar. Weiß jemand, ob die Kühlleistung mit 3070 Ti und i7 die gleiche ist?

You write nonsense. On the contrary, all manufacturers are moving in the right direction by moving key ports back. The ports on the left and right can of course be positioned optimally. And I wrote many times a long time ago that you should output 2 connectors with an audio jack - left and right. Plus, this allows you to quickly build a quad-sound in games from two pairs of active speakers via an analog connection without any receivers. Well, there is enough optical output for external dac/headphone amplifiers for high-quality music with galvanic isolation from the laptop power circuits. Why they stopped putting this, I don't understand - in old laptops of 2007-2008, optical spdif (combined with a headphone jack) was almost everywhere...

But the keyboard (although better than on the Acer 300, at least not spoiled by the numpad arrow to the right in place of insert - earlier Asus spoiled the numpad just like the rest of the Chinese) is still bad for fast blind typing - narrow numpad keys and cursor control arrows - what the hell, Asus?! There's plenty of room on the sides and height! Narrow row of keys Esc, F1..F2? Why, why? These shortcomings automatically destroy the effective fast touch typing of text and the use of a laptop as a workstation!

The screen is even lousier than in the Acer 300 from newest review - even worse contrast (poor only 1000:1!), almost the same shitty distribution of brightness (which is eliminated by the multi-row backlight of the panel and there are such ones on the market!) and bleeding. And the panel is even more slow in response, taking into account the declared level of "240Hz" relative to the fake "165Hz" in Acer.

i9 is suffocated here for a simple reason - it is immediately clear, as in Acer, that Asus deliberately saved on heat pipes (they are narrow and few of them), but of course not as bad as in Acer. As well as the size of radiators and coolers. As a result, we have a low performance of i9, BUT much better noise characteristics against the background of a terribly noisy (and at the same time wildly overheating power electronics, unlike this representative of Asus) of Acer 300.

Sadly, no one wants to make a universal laptop today. Always some stupid compromises here and there...

So far, the best on the market of the planet remains the same in 2022 - the long-crowned Legion 7 2022 series and exclusively models with AMD (although they are slower in terms of processor than versions with Intel, they are much quieter in an office load with good performance, and this is much more important for consumers ). The best balanced solution of 2022 as a versatile laptop for work and play. Well, except for the stupid case lighting for teenagers, which, it seems, can be turned off forever.

Bravo, Asus! Zugegeben: Beim Design konkurriert ihr mit dem hier getesteten Acer Predator Helios 300 um das albernste und hässlichste Gehäuse weit und breit, aber die Kühlung? Hut ab! Die ist augenscheinlich sehr gut gelungen! 150 w Grafik und 35 w CPU bei je 80°C und 46 db ist sehr beeindruckend. Wäre da nicht dieses würg hässliche Design...
