8GB storage is way to little. If you install all your streaming apps there won't be enough storage left to update them which means they either stop working or you have to uninstall apps download the updates for the others and then reinstall them. You need at least 16GB of storage!
If a manufacturer deliberately leaves out the most IMPORTANT specs for its product's revealing by them just stating that it supports the "catch phrase marketing schemes" such as: "our device supports Dolby Vision/Atmos and DTS formats/codecs" and that's all... well, run from ever purchasing that product.
Why?
Well, which version of DV is supported? P7, P5, P8 (P5-P8, etc. is FAKE DV, is what streaming services utlizes. Why did they fail not to mention ALL DV profile libraries are supported? (and that seriously matters with HEVC, etc. streaming).
Xiaomi now sells the TV Box S (2nd Gen) in Europe via AliExpress. Compared to the older model, upgrades include Google TV, Bluetooth 5.2 and a more powerful processor. The streaming media player supports HDR10+ and can be controlled with Google Assistant voice commands.
