TCL'S CSOT display research group has been working on new technology that can reduce the bezel around a given mobile device's display to as little as 1mm on all sides. Now, the company has announced that this new panel type is ready for mass production. It is touted to boost power efficiency and battery life in addition to screen-to-body ratio in next-gen smartphones.
