They could simply add fingerprint reader in a side button (like in iPad Air) AGES AGO.

Too bad they didn't learn anything during Covid-19 (where using Face ID was a nightmare).

According to a renowned display analyst, Apple will no longer deliver under-panel Face ID hardware in iPhone Pro models next year. Instead, the Dynamic Island will dominate for at least another year, with no new display hardware due for Pro models until the iPhone 17 Pro in 2025 at the earliest.
