Soon Apple will be forced to sell the AirPods Pro with a USB Type-C port like the iPhone 15 series, eschewing the evergreen Lightning connector. In the meantime, an engineer has modified the existing AirPods Pro charging case to support USB Type-C charging and is selling replacement parts or complete units.
