Because Mac users are already fully used to taking and eating crap provided by Apple, they cheer for it and want more of it. 90%+ of them can't find or see anything wrong with Apple even if they get hammer in their head delivered straight by Tim Cook.

In terms of laptop design no one is even close to Dell XPS. Their display with no bezel is next level especially the lower bezel. Even Apple has to develop notch but Dell re-engineered the camera module to fit in the thin top bezel.
