AMD's naming scheme for its APUs is really stupid, but luckily Nvidia keeps covering itself in ridicule (RTX 4080 12GB, RTX 3060 8GB, GTX 1630, melting connectors, at this point I'm wondering if they're doing it on purpose) so that people can talk about that instead...

"With the latest Ryzen 7 processors" is what this s*** is going to be advertised by OEMs. And many people are gonna fall for it....
Yeah! People so stupid....... Instead, they're gonna get a crappy 8-core, 4+ GHz, dicrete-class iGPU, legacy Ryzen 7 processor!
That's no good for nothing in 2023! Perhaps simple email........ Yeah........

I'm Russel's brother, by the way. The smarter one, hehe! They say that "I got his half of IQ's" (or half his?) when we were in mommy's womb. Yeah!

Isn't the 7*35u models a refreshbof zen3+ or was your comment supposed to be irony?

If this year's abysmal release or lack thereof for the 6000u apus is any sign, I'm not holding my breath for the Zen 4 7*40 apus for mid range and upper mid-range laptops and 2-in-1s. Those probably will hit market in 2024 1st quarter.
Dell Inspiron 5000/7000 and their 2in1 counterparts; HP pavilion, envy and the x360 series; Lenovo yoga 6,7 and flex; Asus vivobook flip; Acer spin series, etc - all popular laptops yet to receive the 6000u series! Either AMD purposely swayed these brands to use the lesser 5*25u series for more profit margins or the yield of apus in manufacturing is very low or Intel paid/bullied these brands not to sell the 6000u series as this is a greater product overall to their 12th gen series.
Either way this refreshing game is annoying and they not delivering products customers want.

With CES 2023 around the corner, it seems AMD is preparing to release another APU stack based on older designs. Based on new leaks, some members of the Ryzen 7000U series could combine Zen 3 CPU cores with AMD's old Vega iGPU architecture.
