The maths is wrong

The 3080 being 33% slower, means the 4080 is 49% faster.

67 to 100 is a 49% increase. Not 33%

This is the very definition of technological stagnation. Adding 50% more performance for 50% more price is NOT progress in any way shape or form. A truly pathetic effort from the money grubbing Huang. Needs a $400 price cut to be worthy of being called a 4080.

Why do you need 4080 really? Nvidia should support more games with wider genre range before selling this cards anymore. Will you play pixelated indies with your 4080?

The RTX 4080 is one-half of the Lovelace duo that Nvidia unveiled on September 20. The GPU comes with 9,728 CUDA cores, 16 GB of VRAM with a base clock of 2.21 GHz and a boost clock of 2.51 GHz. 3DCenter has now compiled launch review results of the GPU to provide a holistic view of the performance and price value offered by the board.
