I really like the idea of these projectors designed to easily project onto the ceiling, but 480p is just ridiculous at this point, especially for this price. Minimum should be 720p and really 1080p for anything but the very, very cheap projectors. I just don't see this being very competitive. Several years ago I bought a Sony Pico projector that was better than this one in pretty much every way (720p; far smaller; laser light source which had less lumens but supposedly due to being laser is equivalent to a higher lumen standard light source, and was certainly plenty bright; and perfect focus regardless of surface irregularities). So I'm having a very hard time accepting that now, several years later, a 480p projector that's significantly bigger and heavier is more than that was, especially considering Sony products are typically more expensive than comparable products. But then, the BenQ projector I bought 3 years ago is $100 more now than it was then, so go figure. I realize there's been inflation and chip shortages, but that seems excessive, considering the model was already almost 2 years old at the time, and is now almost 5 years old.
