One of the reasons I never bought iPhone is this ridiculous policy with lightning. 10 years old technology when they have usbc in all other divices is absolute idiocy.
The wired transfer of large ProRAW photos or 4K videos will take just as long as with Apple's previous smartphone generation, since the iPhone 14 Pro's lightning port is still limited to rather pedestrian USB 2.0 speeds. Therefore, some prospective buyers of these new flagship devices might want to consider waiting for the very first iPhone with a USB-C connector.
