Hi^^, could you help to provide the PassMark result of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 2? it will be grateful.

At first I was blown away by the performance, but then we got to the battery life section! I'll be keeping my gen 1 nano thank you very much! I value its (now amazing by comparison) battery life. Wish these models had alder lake u or even better AMD 6800u as an option.

Also slight correction at the end, the Newegg model still has the 2k screen, there is no 1080p version of this laptop.

Weird, my unit had really loud and annoying fans, not at all like the quiet performance described in this review. Maybe i had a bad unit.

Apparently, there is an intentional typo in the text. I DO NOT believe that this laptop does not turn on the coolers to the fullest at 54W of consumption. The author you are obliged to answer on the merits. I was waiting for you to correct the text, but you never did after a couple of hints ..

The case will simply heat up like all the insides with such consumption without the howl of coolers to the fullest.

Doubtful that it can last 5 hours. Last year's Nano with the same tiny battery and 9W TDP got exactly 5 hours of real world use. This year's version has nearly x3 that short-burst power limit on top of the same chassis.

I hope that 23db in Load Average, when the laptop consumes more than 50W, not a typo. If so, then this laptop has a really wonderful cooling system, just outstanding.

On the other hand, I would like to ask a reasonable question - what does 54W actually consume there if the SOC PL1 is blocked in consumption above 23W? What is consuming another 31W? And how is such a miracle possible with 23db noise?

This laptop is GOOD as a portable system unit. ;)

Memory tuning is almost excellent (well, apart from the write mode, it needs to be slightly tuned, but against the background of a good copy mode, this is not very important)

The processor works exactly as it should with PL1/PL2 settings. Fast in boost and more or less in sustained, while remaining quiet (which is really amazing with such consumption!).

As always, the screen let us down in terms of response time and the contrast would have been higher (1500:1+ is much better), but for 13" it's not very important, Lenovo would rather improve the response - we wait for 144Hz+ panel (when it work from PSU with switched in lower power mode 60Hz from battery by user choice).

Of course, it does not shine with autonomy, but why be surprised at such a ridiculous weight of a laptop, a small battery and a huge 10nm++++ processor consumption?
It is sort of nimble kid, to connect it on the spot to a monitor and an external keyboard with a mouse and sometimes have to use it as it is, especially since it only weighs 1.2kg with the PSU. Yes, yes, I remember that LG Gram 15.6" weighs about the same and even a full-fledged 17" model from LG is close by weight - but look at the processor speed and noise from Gram v2022, everything is much worse there ...

Miracles don't happen. This is physics. Or a heavy cooling system to the detriment of everything else, or everything else ...
