Just want to say that I was partly wrong. the display lid and bottom of the laptop is made of aluminium but not the keyboard frame. The keyboard frame is nicely made and looks very similar to the bottom part but it is not metal!

This laptop is a great value. Perfect if you need high performance at a good price. The weaknesses are probably not important for -most- people. The Thinkbook 15p G2 gets the important things right - good port options including LAN port, HDMI & Thunderbolt 4; upgradeable RAM & two SSD slots; good processor & graphics etc.

Maybe good enough for image editors but not good for 3D.

With the second generation of its multimedia laptop, Lenovo addresses some complaints about the predecessor.
