Stock manipulation.
With Alderlake being faster and most importantly not at the expense of battery life it's highly unlikely that amd could actually gain anything over intel. And amd based laptops have always been harder to find. We already have alderlake laptops available, but there's still no sign of Ryzen 6000 based laptops. The one I have been looking forward to, the zephyrus g14 with 6800s is probably not even gonna be available till June.
How long would people wait before going for an alderlake? Especially now that intel is actually trying to get back in competition?
If 6000 series is nowhere to be found, what about Zen 4? If it's released too soon, the 6000 is going to be the next Kabylake.

AMD expects record 2022 revenue based on the launch of its first Ryzen 6000 systems in February, as well as the appearance of its next-gen 5nm Ryzen 7000 series processors in the second half of the year. The projection comes hot on the heels of another blockbuster financial year for AMD that saw it near Intel's profit margins.
