The poor reviews the Exynos 2200 has received, even against the last generation Snapdragon chip. The new chip has been described as "the worst flagship processor", by ICE Universe. The Exynos 2200's GPU failed to beat the Mali-G710 MP10 in MediaTek's Dimensity 9000, it was also way off bothering Apple's A15 SoC or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's Adreno 730 GPU.

Why is Samsung providing a mid-range chip in what is supposed to be a " flagship phone" in the European market, when the rest of the world gets the very best Snapdragon 8.1? Add to that, the pricing regime is expected to follow the last one where the company sells a device in the U.S for $1100 and £1100 in the UK, which is a much higher price. Why?

For the above reasons, I will not be upgrading to an S22 Ultra AND S8 Tab, instead, I will be buying elsewhere, even Apple. As a Samsung Note owner from the very first device, it will be a big sacrifice. I will lose a lot of Apps purchased over the years. But it's now a point of principle.

I am not buying a substandard device in my marketplace when other regions will not only get a better POC in the same device, but they will also be buying it substantially cheaper!

I can only hope a few competition regulators take note of the commercial scalping of customers in the European region and investigate Samsungs practice, maybe with a big fine! Other than that, I hope European customers hit Samsung where it hurts by boycotting their second taste, over price, mid-range device!

So on these ones the model numbers that end with B have Exynos and the ones that end with E have Snapdragon. If you look at the model numbers on the s21 FE they're the exact opposites.

To their defense, they've used B for European models for a while now as seen on S20 (5g), S20 FE(5g) and S21, but I haven't seen other models that end with E prior to this year (on the s21 FE and now s22)

Now I'm confused XD

Samsung has just announced the Exynos 2200, a 4 nm SoC with an RDNA 2-based GPU. While there were rumours of Samsung using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the European versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra, multiple retailers have confirmed that the trio will arrive with the Exynos 2200 instead.
