The CPU improvements in this Kompanio 1380 are nice - will enhance the device's performance and will probably offer a decent gaming support as well which will be nice to see in Chromebooks.

I hate the Kompanio naming scheme. This appears to be the exact same SoC as the MT8195 which uses the same 6nm process, 4x Cortex-A78 + 4x Cortex-A55, 5-core Mali-G57, MediaTek APU 3.0, and quad-channel 2133MHz LPDDR4X.

The fact that it goes up to 3 GHz is new info though. If you get a Chromebook with this, you'll probably be satisfied for several years.

MediaTek has announced a new addition to its line of chipsets specifically intended for Chromebook laptops and tablets. The Kompanio 1380 is a chipset rated for speeds of up to 3GHz thanks to the presence of high-end ARM cores. It may be released soon in the form of an upcoming Acer PC.
