No matter how great performing SOC mediatek makes, Snapdragon will always be the first choice. Only because MediaTek chooses not release their drivers to public. Poor support to all camera functions has always a major issue with Mediatek.

They already share drivers? Is this real advantage over snapdragon?

A YouTuber pitted the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and found that the former easily defeats the latter in CPU tests. On the other hand, the Qualcomm part is slightly ahead of the high-end MediaTek Dimensity SoC.
