Exynos is an inferior product. Give the Exynos 2200 to the midrange Galaxy A-series phones... that is where Exynos belong. Go fight it out with Mediatek for market share.

The poll in the article is meaningless. It shows that people who registered a vote have heard the rumours about the performance of the Exynos 2200 being sub-par. If the rumours turn out to be wrong and the E2200 performs well everyone will simply change their minds about the chip.

It is worth mentioning that the way this negative disposition on the E2200 has taken shape looks a lot like the murky development of a prejudice, viz. people are prejudging technical questions with scant evidence.

I am not saying the E2200 will be a good part -- I have the same suspicion about the shortcomings of this chip as everyone else. Still, I like to keep my suspicions in check. It is too early to know whether the E2200 is a dud or not.

An unofficial poll by a noted leaker has offered up a damning result for the Exynos 2200 SoC from Samsung. While benchmark results for the chip have shown it holding up well against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it was not enough to sway thousands of voters who want to see a Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S22 in Europe.
