To be honest though the HM3 sensor is still great, the only issue Samsung have is that their processing isn't all that well done (especially if you pixel peep, it does some ugly stuff on the fine details), and that is honestly just as large a part of the result as the sensor now - and the HM3 already picks up enough detail that all it needs is better processing to really nail things. The Ultra Wide could have used an update to a better sensor but it works well enough. I'm hoping the incremental upgrade means they've focused on improving the processing this time around.

A well-known leaker has cleared up what camera sensors Samsung will include in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. For some reason, Samsung only seeks to equip the Galaxy S21 Ultra successor with new telephoto cameras; the 108 MP and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras from this year's model will remain.
