It's so amusing to observe that there was a time when fans of a certain brand swore up and down that benchmarks don't matter because "they don't go around running benchmarks all day". Their goal posts move up and down the road as they fit. Just like when they once said that "they don't need 3G" because wifi is all they need then they were the first in line when IP3G came out. Repeat the same narrative/scenario for 4GLTE, bigger than 3.5" screens (did their thumbs grow longer?), 5G, AMOLED screens, etc. etc. When they copy things then make it better, "it's innovation". When others do the exact same thing, they sue, try to ban them, extort billion$ from them, taking advantage by using local courts, judges, jury against foreign companies using frivolous patents like "slide to unlock". REALLY? It's like patenting a way to push a button even if you did not invent the button. It's really sad to see innovative companies that really pioneered smartphones like HTC go the way of the dodo because of unfair cross licensing practices.
