QuoteNothing like checking the comments in NotebookCheck only to read all about desktops and servers, like the whole site isn't about effin' notebooks.

Almost unveiling a local device image scanner to detect "pedophilic images", then only backing out due to backlash? (everyone with a brain knows it wont be used just for those images)

My M1 MBP get 7988 points in Cinebench and the thing is, I never heard the fan spin up at all. Any system with a 5800H would have its fans blaring at max speed and not to mention, the system itself will be much chunkier at the same time. The 5800H, to get the score that you mentioned would be sucking around 50-60W, while my MacBook only used 20. The efficiency of the M1 is how it got its recognition. Many people, including you, fail to understand that. Not to mention, during day-to-day tasks, such as google docs, checking email, etc, uses only 2W of power on average. 5800H? More like 10-15. Even gaming on M1 uses only 10-15W of power, which is including its iGPU which is faster than intel's and AMD's best iGPUs.
Ridiculous.
It certainly do not dominates anything that needs multicore. A Cinebench render in a 5800H is 13000 in M1 is 7xxx...
People compare the M1 MacBooks to fat gaming laptops with terrible battery life and are naturally much thicker and heavier than a MacBook, while they should be comparing it to thin and lights, such as and XPS 13 or Spectre x360 13. The MacBook Pro and Air 13 are thin and lights, not chunky gaming laptops and thus shouldn't be compared to them.
