This doesn't use porting, as that would require every single app to be ported in order to work, and would be doomed to fail. It uses emulation. Of course, it shouldn't come as a surprise that one of the biggest "selling points" of W11 isn't going to be there at launch, or for quite a while after. I wonder if it will eventually just be dropped completely, having been nothing more than an artificial enticement to get people to switch over.

Microsoft has now confirmed that Windows 11 will officially become available and rollout in a phased manner from October 5 with all eligible PCs expected to be updated by mid-2022. Android app support is not a part of this initial release but will be made available for Insiders to test out in the coming months.
