This CPU is a very viable alternative to x86.  Deepin Linux can already run on this CPU architecture.  So whether a user is using Deepin on a x86 system or a Loongson system, the experience will be the same.

I can bet with you that anyone will take Apple M1 walled garden, before that "CCP" Deepin Linux distribution.

They were probably working on this before RISC-V really started taking off. Or they wanted something proprietary for some reason.

Wack. Should've adopted RISC-V instead.

The new Loongson 3A5000 processor is 50% faster than its predecessor and 30 % more efficient, which puts it on the same level with AMD's first gen Ryzen processors. It packs 4 cores with no hyperthreading clocked at 2.3 - 2.5 GHz and supports DDR4-3200 RAM.
