We can't get 32GB RAM on the 15" at all (only 17"), and not even on 17" unless you get Nvidia (not on the Intel version). What a joke. My 2007 Thinkpad 11.3" has 16G RAM, 14 years later and memory capacities haven't even changed, how ridiculous is that
I struggle to believe that. I bought a 15" business laptop in 2006, a pretty loaded configuration, T7400 and it had only 2 GB of RAM. I think 4 was the maximum available at the time. It still came with 32-bit Windows XP (64-bit version had all sorts of trouble and was best avoided) and so you couldn't even use the full 4 GB IIRC. Of course, Vista came in 2007 with better 64-bit support. So, I struggle to believe you could buy an 11" toy with 16 GB of RAM that year. Were there even SO-DIMMs over 2 GB? I doubt you can fit four inside that thing which would imply 8 GB modules... I really can't believe that. Although I do know that DDR3 arrived in 2007 as well. But I don't think it changes anything.
