This game was really engaging and had a fantastic story. It actually tried to do something different with both the sandbox and zombie genres. Unlike other games I invested the time to get the cliffhanger ending after 100% completion and that's so perfectly set up a sequel it would be a terrible waste to squander this.
I'm not alone, there's a petition with will over 100,000 signatures already on change.org fYSJ6BYsM6
I thought days gone was better that the last of us! If they end up going on Xbox I would sell my ps5 for the series x straight away. Especially now Bethesda games are only for Xbox now
Sell it xbox! If playstation doesn't want it. I'd play it on xbox in a heart beat. Days Gone is the best game I've played in a very long time. It's fantastic! I'm really close to finishing it now. It's gonna make me sad when I do. There's not another game like it.
I think they should. What is Sony afraid of? That it will do better then the Last of us 2? Sorry we all know now the direction they want to take that and we won't allow it or want it! And 100,000 fans yeah don't think so it did way better then that and if people knew how the Last of us 2 was going to be, more people would have bought Days Gone guaranteed.
If Sony doesn't want Bend doing anything with it, fine. Give it to another studio to work on.
If it doesn't want to anything at all with the IP, fine. Sell it and let someone else do something with it. Get something for it rather than let it sit. Maybe Rockstar would pick it up. Maybe an indie developer could pick it up.
It's stupid to do nothing with it. If no one picks it up, then fine, it's really dead. But there's still options for Sony.
Kind of sad cause this game was a lot of fun. I don't understand the expectations of some of you gamers. I don't beat many games due to lack of time but I almost 100% this game due to how it kept me coming back for more. I played on PC 1440p@144hz (3090)
Remember how the writer of the game blasted people for buying the game on sale. If I remember correctly he said "don't expect a sequel if you can't be bothered to pay full price for the game." Why blame the consumer who doesn't know if a game is going to be dead on arrival these days to wait for value to show through? I'm glad they aren't getting a sequel.
I've been playing through it from when I got it on PS Plus. It's pretty good. No where near the best open world game there is but it's good. It kinda feels like a AA game trying to be AAA. Maybe that's why it got mixed reviews. It was in development for years, constantly getting bigged up. Everyone was getting too hyped for it.
100,000+ supporters is in no way enough push to give Sony a reason to change its mind (at would take at least a minimum of 800K-1M supporters just to start to cover development cost) now.
