XZ2 is not a best example as it was significantly bigger than its predecessors. XZ1 Compact was, IIRC, 129 mm tall. That's even less than iPhone 12 mini.

The Xperia Ace II features a 5.5-inch display in a 140 x 68 x 8.9 mm chassis. Not only is it nowhere near as small as compact Xperia smartphones that have gone before it, but it also larger than the Xperia 10 III in all but height. The Xperia Ace II may be exclusive to Japan, too.
