The automatic detection can be activated individually for walking, running, cycling, pool-swimming and the cross-trainer and you can choose between three levels of sensitivity. The recording starts automatically and it ends as soon as the movement is interrupted for more than 3 minutes. Alternatively, you can press a soft button during these 3 minutes to continue training. However: the 3 minutes count towards the workout afterwards, so it makes sense to at least end the workout normally.

Can't wait for GTS 2 mini review and comparison! As for GTS 2e... It has Smart Recognition of Sport Modes. How does that work? Does it mean that if you walk and start running or cycling it just recognises the change and automatically starts tracking your running/cycling or does it give you notification that it noticed you're started running/cycling, do you want to (still manually) turn on running/cycling mode?
