Unless they decide to source from Samsung or GlobalFoundries (some budget thing on 12nm), AMD is dependent on TSMC. The situation could improve by next year but it's largely out of AMD's hands (the capacity is ordered in advance).

Your daily reminder doesn't matter to AMD, because anything they make, especially GPUs, are likely to fly off the shelves in this market. What are you going to do, boycott?

It looks like Zen 4 will have an iGPU. But it will be out sometime in 2022 and for all we know it could go as low as 4 CUs.

In this case difference between Zen3+ and Zen4 would be
1.45/1.3 = 1.115 -> 11.5%.

And these numbers are only estimation not actual ones. And they don't take into account increase in frequency which is unknown right now and may add another several percent of performance.

Zen 4 IPC should be compared to Zen 3, or Zen 3+ if that is released.

We know it will have a nice IPC increase. More interesting will be seeing if it goes to 24 cores for the top SKU, 8 vs. 12 cores per chiplet (12 cores would probably be better for consumers), the integrated RDNA2 graphics, and the possibility of gigabytes of L4 cache.

Everything related to the DDR5 will be interesting, but that is the case for both Intel and AMD. It's possible that DDR5's new features (e.g. same bank refresh) could help it compensate for bad latency and high price. Since Alder Lake will use both DDR4 and DDR5, direct comparisons can be made.
