So far, this is looking better than the new X1 Carbon (2021).

The 16:10 screen may only be 1920x1200, but it's matte!

And 1920x1200 isn't too bad on its side, being used in portrait orientation to look at PDFs, books, etc...

So a matte 16:10 display in portrait mode may be more useful to some than a higher-res glossy 16:10 display in landscape.

The X1 Carbon may have a slightly better keyboard, but with modern Thinkpads, it's probably a crapshoot anyway.

Just wondering if your matte screen is the UHD+ (3840x2400) IPS 500nits  or one of the WUXGA 1920x1200 screens?

I purchased one of these, received it about a week ago. Also loving the matte touchscreen.

I've notice mine has a slightly crooked lid - the lid is half a mm out of alignment to the right of the main unit, at each front corner. Does your review unit have the same issue?

This is the one I've been waiting for. I'm planning to buy one soon ... just waiting for reviews to come out.
I really do hope the screen is matte and has no PWM .... I you reviewing the 14" UHD+ (3840x2400) IPS 500nits screen?

It would be really cool if you could do an indept review of the screen, performance, battery time etc ...

I agree with @tres in the previous comment. Please make a comparison, ideally asking the opinion of a professional "blind" typist of what is the difference in travel and feeling of this keyboard (and maybe the Titanium or the Nano models with even shallower travel) against the previous generations with 1.5mm and 1.8mm key travel.

Is the touchscreen here compatible with Wacom Active ES or Microsoft Pen Protocol? I'd like to be able to doole using my Wacom Bamboo Ink Plus.

Please also do a measurement of the keyboard travel; there are many reports of a big difference between this keyboard and the previous gen, even though Lenovo claims they are both 1.5mm.

Please be sure to report CPU package power over time for your stress tests!

Any idea when will you be reviewing the 9th generation Thinkpad X1 Carbon(s)?

The brand-new ThinkPad X1 Yoga G6 has arrived in our editorial office and it is immediately noticeable that it is better than the more expensive ThinkPad x1 Titanium Yoga in pretty much every way.
