Honestly, with minor exceptions like Sigma's Foveon X3, I don't see any camera company doing something significantly different from the others, especially something that could be applicable to the restraints of a smartphone design, so I haven't seen and don't expect to see anything technically substantial from "cooperations" like these, maybe they'll try to mask the lack of anything differentiating with more funding, maybe it's just more manpower...which also requires more funding.
In all fairness, Olympus kept its microscope division, so at least that's related to optics.

Samsung is reportedly working with legendary camera manufacturer Olympus to develop camera hardware for its upcoming devices. We could see it in action alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 this year or on the Galaxy S22 Ultra in 2022.
