The way to offer internal batteries in different sizes is to design the machine to be able to house the bigger battery - a smaller one can fit in without problem.
So the X13 is designed to house a 54 Wh battery, with the 41 Wh battery as an cheaper, more lightweight option.

They all got a massive dent in the bottom corner of the top lid, yet ZERO have sustained any real damage (outside of cosmetics).
Any way, ThinkPad will properly never get bezels as thin as that of XPS. Thin bezels are proven to weaken the overall structural integrity of the chassis (...)

Love the ugly thick bezels from the 90s.
As soon as Dell XPS 13, 15 and 17" have potent AMD Ryzen 5800U and 5980HS bundled with RTX 3060 Max-Q, there's no need to buy any ThinkPads.
